  • Skyline High School is a closed campus. This means that only Skyline students and parents are welcomed on campus from 8:05am – 3:05pm Monday thru Friday.

We know that other school districts are currently on spring break, so many friends and relatives do not have school this week. Since we are a closed campus, non-Skyline students are not allowed on campus between school hours; therefore, we will not be granting guest passes.

In addition,  we are not granting off-campus passes for Skyline students to buy lunch outside of school (McDonalds, Subway, Round Table, etc.).  Please bring your lunch from home or buy lunch on campus because all students are expected to stay on campus from 8:05am t0 3:05pm.

-Students may not show their midriffs
-Students can wear shorts but it should not be shorter than 6 inches above the knee
-Students must cover undergarments at all times

  • FIRE ROAD

In consultation with our Security Officers, the fire marshal and input from our teaching staff Skyline High School must make the following locations off limits during the lunch period, during classes, etc. for the safety of staff and students:

    1. all fire roads (except behind the 10 Wing & only if one is entering a classroom for a lunch time activity or during passing periods)
    2. the "Cat Walk" area between the outdoor basketball court and the main gate (except during passing periods to get to ROTC)
    3. all parking lots (except during passing periods to get to the Youth Center, Health Center, etc.).

Students who are in these areas will be issued a warning. Students who are in these areas after an initial warning will then be subject to home suspension.

The goal is to ensure safety for all.

Thanks you for your support and understanding.

  • Trespassing on Private Property

In consultation with our SecurityOfficers, Oakland Unified School District Police and Oakland Police, SkylineHigh School students should not trespass on private properties. Our neighbors around the Skyline community have expressed concern that they have seen Skyline High School students who are truant and trespassing on their private property.

Students who trespass will be issued a warning and/or cited by the police.  Students who are on these private properties after an initial warning will then be subject to home suspension and/or arrest.

The goal is to ensure safety for all. Thank you for your support and understanding.
