Cleveland Elementary School, located at the heart of the Cleveland Heights/Haddon Hill neighborhood near Lake Merritt, is a small, high-achieving, economically and ethnically diverse school.
We take a holistic approach to education that includes not just core reading, writing and math, but also offers science and environmental hands-on learning experiences in our Ecoliteracy program, regular art classes through MOCHA, music classes through Cantare Con Vivo and MILE music integrated learning programs with instrument and choral lessons in 4th and 5th grades.
Our teachers are all fully credentialed, have over 15 years average teaching experience and are all members of our very active PTA. Cleveland feels like a small town, where everyone knows each other and looks out for each others' children, but has the wealth of diversity that you only find in unique places like the Bay Area.
